We came to Alaska for the first time and we really enjoyed our very first tour here with Juls was excellent. She was very informative and made our trip very comfortable. Matanuska walk was something we’d never experienced before and it was amazing. Thank you Juls for the enjoyable day.

The Glacier walk itself was amazing. Daniel was our guide and he was very professional knowledgeable and just plain fun! The staff at the Glacier tour did a wonderful job! The Glacier tour group must sub contract the transportation from Anchorage to the Glacier. That experience was not only a disappointment but, at times dangerous. They did a good job ensuring they contacted me for pick up at the hotel. Paul, the driver, did take our bags to our new hotel before we left town. We then needed to go to Russ, his bosses apartment to get a credit card because the one the driver was given didn’t work for gas. Once at the apartment building Paul needed to call Russ several times to get the credit card brought to him. After about 10 minutes an individual approached the van gesturing for a smoke. Paul said he didn’t smoke then the individual gave him a credit card and once again asked for a cigarette. (Apparently this was the person that Russ sent down with the credit card) After we got the new card we stopped at a grocery store, I believe in Palmer, to pick out sandwiches for our provided lunch. The card was declined there. We gave Paul our tip early so he could pay for the lunches while he called Russ several times. Apparently Russ told him to cancel our trip since he could not come up with a solution. At some point he was told it was ok to take us to the Glacier and Russ would make sure he had money for gas to get us back to Anchorage. Paul appeared to be driving fast as we were sliding across the van when going around curves. He told us he had a different customer complain about his being too close to the edge of the road, with deep drop offs, earlier in the week. Once we got to the Glacier and the team there took over, they made the experience one of our favorites of our trip. Once we returned to the van however, Paul had the doors locked with the front seat laid back. Once the door was opened there was an overwhelming smell of marijuana that came out of the van. Luckily we still needed to eat our lunch before the drive back to Anchorage. The van had empty water bottles, Burger King bags and other items that appeared to be garbage in the back. Overall: Glacier team and Experience was excellent! I would highly recommend them! The transportation team tied to this excursion are a clear- Do not recommend! Unprofessional and dangerous behaviors.
