Instructor was not clear on his instructions where we were going, to do, and what was required of us. There was 6 in the group - 2 people we did not know, a mother & daughter with no experience kayaking. Our group of 4 all were over 65 yrs old, 2 of which had a lot of experience kayaking my husband & I did not. The instructor should have assessed our abilities first before deciding to take us out on a very windy day. It was very unsafe and difficult day for my husband (who has a bad shoulder) and I and the other inexperienced couple. Our instructor had to call for help from another instructor to get us back to shore. He should have done before we left after he assed the weather & our capabilities.

Ethan and Ben were excellent guides. We got a quick lesson on the fascinating history of the area. They explained kayaking technique on land, provide a few safety tips, and away you go! The tour took us along the Matanzas River and marsh land. Saw sea turtles swimming, a pair of bald eagles, a blue heron, snowy egrets, and 10 legged crabs. Marshes clean our air and water so we need to protect them. Excellent memorable experience!
