TLDR: cancelled tour on me last minute then played every card they could to avoid refunding my money. Viator was incredibly helpful in ensuring a refund no thanks to company. Booked a tour for Labor Day weekend with this company. They called me the 7pm the night before saying not enough people booked to do the tour (strange given it was Saturday of Labor Day, but that’s not the point). I asked if they would be able to refund my money because I could not make the tour on another day since I was just visiting and had no interest in an unguided tour for the same day (which they were also refusing to pay the price difference back to me). They said that they couldn’t refund the money giving several convoluted reasons (including the fact that ā€œwe are in a recessionā€ā€¦.I kid you not...) but mostly blamed trip advisor for holding the money. I had looked up the cancellation policy and all the company had to do was inform viator (trip advisor’s parent company) that they cancelled the trip for viator to refund my money. I told them as much and they said that they didn’t know how to use the app to do so. A company should not offer their services on a platform that they can’t use. After a couple of weird conversations with the tour company where they took an oddly aggressive tone, I contacted Viator who reached out to the company to verify that the tour was cancelled. The company didn’t answer the phone for viator after several attempts (likely screened calls) so viator reached out via email. The company eventually responded offering a half refund and a free bottle of oil from their shop lol. I called trip advisor again because they had cancelled on me and I wanted a full refund. Viator immediately agreed with me after reviewing the previous interactions and refunded my money in full. Viator was incredibly responsive and helpful but this company was awful to deal with. Would recommend booking elsewhere.

We are happy that Trip Advisor initiated the refund on your behalf. Viator should not have accepted the booking less than 12 hours before departure. This is where the confusion occurred. Thank you for demonstrating our intent to offer alternative options to you to try and make it right given an erroneous situation - it should not have been bookable in the first place on the Viator platform approx 12 hours before departure.

We had SO MUCH FUN on this tour. Enjoyed the beautiful ride, and the different stops on this tour!! We also made a stop to an off the beaten path lovely vineyard. Had a really nice day strawberry picking at the orchard. I recommend the lunch-really good & fresh.

Nicole, Dave and Mike treated us to a truly spectacular excursion with a down home feel. Couldn’t ask for a single improvement. They covered it all, including a support vehicle to carry the fresh pies we purchased while we biked back. Bikes were high quality. Do not miss this opportunity for a slice of paradise.
