Overview

All riders must be 36 inches or taller to participate/ride submarine.

Dive 100 feet below the surface and experience Maui’s marine treasures off beautiful Lahaina with Atlantis Submarines Maui. A special added bonus of this tour experience is seeing the spectacular West Maui Mountains while riding our shuttle boat to the Maui dive site.

Stingray, yellow tang, eel, parrotfish, bluefin trevally, and an array of other marine species are seen regularly at the dive site. See firsthand how the Carthaginian, a sunken 19th century whaling brig, has combined with Mother Nature to create a fascinating artificial reef to attract and support marine life of all sizes, shapes and colors.

Passengers must be capable of ascending and descending a near vertical ladder on their own to board the submarine
Total tour time is approximately 1 hour 50 minutes. Actual underwater tour time is 45 minutes
Children must be 36 inches or taller to ride the submarine
Infants are not permitted on the submarine.

The captain and co-captain were very entertaining. I am claustrophobic and I had no problem with being in the sub.

The submarine ride and crew was great. My pictures were not as good they were not clear enough thru the glass. I got better pictures on our visit the Maui Ocean.

This seemed like it would be a wonderful experience but it was: a major downer due to the cramped conditions So poorly lit outside that everything was in "sepia" tones Something we both will NEVER try again

Aloha, and thank you for taking the time to share your review. We're are disappointed to learn you did not have an exceptional time. It is true, at depths past 50 feet, a phenomenon called "color absorption" occurs. This means that fish and coral that would have bright colors near the surface take on a more dull hue, and often everything will appear blue. However, this is just a perk of getting to see the ocean at depths you wouldn't normally get to experience. We appreciate your valuable feedback. Mahalo.
