Overview

All riders must be 36 inches or taller to participate/ride submarine.

Dive 100 feet below the surface and experience Maui’s marine treasures off beautiful Lahaina with Atlantis Submarines Maui. A special added bonus of this tour experience is seeing the spectacular West Maui Mountains while riding our shuttle boat to the Maui dive site.

Stingray, yellow tang, eel, parrotfish, bluefin trevally, and an array of other marine species are seen regularly at the dive site. See firsthand how the Carthaginian, a sunken 19th century whaling brig, has combined with Mother Nature to create a fascinating artificial reef to attract and support marine life of all sizes, shapes and colors.

Our air-conditioned, comfortable submarine interiors offer large viewing ports, which allow guests to relax and enjoy the amazing wonders of the deep. Passengers must be capable of ascending and descending a near vertical ladder on their own to board the submarine
Total tour time is approximately 1 hour 50 minutes. Actual underwater tour time is 45 minutes
Children must be 36 inches or taller to ride the submarine
Infants are not permitted on the submarine.

I don’t dive or snorkel, so this was an awesome experience to be able to see coral and marine life. We saw sharks and sting rays too! I felt very safe the entire time and highly recommend the tour

A fun experience suitable for all ages. The price includes a 15-minute shuttle boat ride to (and back from) the mini‐submarine with views of West Maui. There are 5 stops on the submarine tour, the most active being the reef and the sunken ship that creates a habitat for fish to gather. The staff point out interesting sea life findings and have little bits prepared to make the tour entertaining during a lull of sightings. The tour wraps up with deboarding onto the sea shuttle where you get to watch the next tour group submerge. It'd likely be best not to take children that are unable to walk. Activity-wise onboarding/offloading on sub requires traversing a ladder.
