Overview

All riders must be 36 inches or taller to participate/ride submarine.

Dive 100 feet below the surface and experience Maui’s marine treasures off beautiful Lahaina with Atlantis Submarines Maui. A special added bonus of this tour experience is seeing the spectacular West Maui Mountains while riding our shuttle boat to the Maui dive site.

Stingray, yellow tang, eel, parrotfish, bluefin trevally, and an array of other marine species are seen regularly at the dive site. See firsthand how the Carthaginian, a sunken 19th century whaling brig, has combined with Mother Nature to create a fascinating artificial reef to attract and support marine life of all sizes, shapes and colors.

Our air-conditioned, comfortable submarine interiors offer large viewing ports, which allow guests to relax and enjoy the amazing wonders of the deep. Passengers must be capable of ascending and descending a near vertical ladder on their own to board the submarine
Total tour time is approximately 1 hour 50 minutes. Actual underwater tour time is 45 minutes
Children must be 36 inches or taller to ride the submarine
Infants are not permitted on the submarine.

Very well run operation, from website to voyage. Good explanations about the submarine and excellent narration of underwater sights, Everyone gets a window view-- there are no bad seats. One of our group is 76 with a knee replacement and had no difficulty navigating the ladder to board the sub. Not a claustrophobic experience. This is a deep water adventure (down to 113 feet), so for part of the dive the fish are not quite as numerous or colorful as would be seen on shallow reef snorkeling, but later we cruised around a shipwreck and saw many interesting creatures including sharks and octopi. We were told to check in 45 minutes before departure, and if the trip is full, that may be needed, but the pier is only a two minute walk from the check-in office.

A last minute decision and it was great. Crew was professional and friendly and we saw lots of sea life up to 130’ down - and a sunken ship!
