Overview

The Haleakala Day Journey has been one of the most popular bike tours offered at Mountain Riders for over 30 years. The tour begins at the entrance of Haleakala National Park and ends where the bike ride concludes in Paia Town, on the North Shore of the island! Our tours are conducted by our experienced guides, who will point out historic sites along the journey and offer unforgettable photo ops for your group.

Check-in - 7:30am at the Mountain Riders office location
Return - 11:30-12:00pm back to the Mountain Riders office location (times will vary depending upon the season).

I am the only advanced cyclist in our family of three, so this was probably right at the edge of our comfort zone ... It is downhill the entire way, steep in parts, and requires all riders to pay attention and be alert at all times.... Setting aside safety for the moment, we got to see up country Maui, learn a bit about the island history, culture and environment. It was a really nice mix of physical and mental stimulation while enjoying spectacular scenery. Our two guides, Bobby and Dante, were engaging and VERY entertaining, and really took an interest in every person in our group. Back to safety, Bobby and Dante were extremely safety focused without being overbearing - true professionals, and they had the confidence of our entire group. Mahalo for a spectacular day Jeff
