We attended this Luau after an amazing day out at the Road to Hana and getiting engaged at Haleakala, it truly was the icing on the cake, we were received with real floral leis and were provided with amazing seats! The food was actually delicious and very authentic to Hawaiian culture. We had a spectacular view of the sunset and enjoyed every element of the show. Our favorite of course was the fire dancer! Next time we visit Maui we will definitely be returning to this Luau!!

We were told to arrive at 4:15 to get good seats. When we arrived it was already crowded and very hot. You stood in line for about 1/2 hour with no shade before being seated. The food was not very good and consisted mainly of rice, noodles and vegetables. They did serve a low quality steak and chicken . The pork was very good and there was an open bar. All of the desserts had coconut in them (which I liked). The show was very good but we did leave early simply because we were hot and sweaty. It was a good experience but a little pricey for what you received.

The venue asks you to be there an hour before anything of consequence begins. During that hour you are in the full Hawaiian sun. We were sweating. They try to sell you $20 photos and artwork. There is no reason you really need to be there so early. Once the meal began we were towards the end of the line. There were three rows of tables serving from each side. It was self-serve all you can eat. It became apparent that there were items that were gone. I walked to the staging area and told the “chef”. He never looked at me nor said a word to me, but turned and barked at the staff. I walked away thinking it was resolved. It was not. If you are towards the end of the line you either did not get all the selections or you had to go through multiple lines to try and get the selections. By this point you are now waiting on the first group because they have returned to the other lines for seconds. It dissolves into chaos. You would need to wait in each line to try everything. It’s important to note that there was no one staffing these lines. Meaning no staff member was at any of the serving lines to direct the staff or customers. Also, our event was not sold out. Imagine if it was sold out. I expected far greater service from this property and at this price point. If food becomes scarce a staff person should replace the items before they are gone and/or merge the lines before food runs out for all the lines. It’s pretty inexcusable to have insufficient food at an all you can eat event. The entertainment was fine, but the experience is so haphazard and frustrating that it’s hard to enjoy. I would recommend that you try a different luau or if you do come here make sure you sit at the front so you get fed.
