Enjoy a prime opportunity to see humpback whales as they migrate through Hawaiian waters from Alaska between December and May. Setting out from Kihei, cruise to an area off the southern end of Maui with one of Hawaii's highest whale populations. You’ll travel in a large, sturdy raft that provides a speedy ride so you can maximize your viewing time. Sadly, our tour was canceled due to rough waters. I gave these guys 5 stars for how they handled it. I saw a couple of other boats that took people out and those people did not look happy! If their professionalism was any indication as to how the ride would have been, definitely five stars. FYI we couldn't reschedule as they offered because we were leaving the island the next morning.

The small zodiac like boat with a small group was just the up close and personal whale watching we wanted. The captain and crew knew their stuff. As a group of biologists we fired many questions and they were great in the responses. We learned so much. He is a good boat captain and the whales were all around us including one that swam directly under the boat. These folks delivered on all expectations and more.

Fabulous experience on a smaller yet pretty stable boat. Maneuverability of the large raft makes getting to whale sitings faster enhancing close encounters. So much better than huge cattle-car boats. Staff is well versed, knowledgable and personable. Terrific and awe inspiring up-close viewing with great action, even one directly under the boat. The 9 am departure is perfect. Be sure to book in advance, the boats are usually filled. Thank You Redline!
