One of the best places to see the sunset and stargazing and it's also the highest mountain on earth. Comfortable 4X4 passenger van as transportation.Jackets and gloves provided to keep you warm. Experienced tour guide to talk about our history and show you our amazing night with a laser pointer. Get close to the stars with our professional Celestron telescope and get a nice photo with our DSLR camera.

The drive up Mauna Kea and sunset was beautiful! Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and it was really cool see the observatory up close. The jackets provided were warm and comfy, and the drinks and snacks were a nice addition. It was a bit overcast, but our guides still told is about the stars, and we got to observe Jupiter and it's moons through a telescope. All in all a great experience! My only complaint is that the pickup spots were in shopping centers where some of the guests went to the wrong spot and had to be tracked down by our driver who was already late picking us up. He was nice but barely spoke to anyone during the very long drive there and back. The van was also incredibly uncomfortable with seats that jammed into my legs and made it so I couldn't face forward (I'm only 5'9). I was in a lot of pain by the time we were dropped off. Not a good way to start or end the excursion. The vans that drove us up the mountain were WAY better! You should use better transport vehicles in the future. Despite all that, we still had a wonderful evening.

What an amazing experience, Flip and Nate did a great job getting us to the summit. We saw the most beautiful sunset and stargazing! They pointed out several stars and constellations and Nate set up a telescope so we could see the craters on the moon. Flip took pictures with the Milky Way galaxy in the background. This is a not to be missed experience. We would definitely recommend this trip to everyone.
