This is a great tour! We learned a lot about stars and the history of the island. Riley was our tour guide, and he was AMAZING, totally made our trip! Keep in mind it gets very cold so come prepared. Also know that the tour takes about 7 hours start to finish.

This is such a cool experience!! It is unlike any experience I've ever had before. Our guide was amazing and stopped about every 3k feet to give everyone some time to adjust to the altitude as we went up. By time we reached the visitor center, we were all getting a bit chilly which was to be expected! Our tour guide provided great information the whole way through our trip from beginning to end and was very excited to answer any questions that were asked! The summit and sunset was incredible (although I'll admit a bit colder than I expect to be in Hawaii). The views are unreal above the clouds! The stars and telescope were very interesting even though I sat in the van for a bit because it was so cold! I am from Phoenix, AZ so I don't do the cold very well! But I came out to look through the telescope, grab some yummy hot chocolate, and listen to the guide talk about constellations and point them out. The astro photos were pretty interesting as well! I wish I had taken a few more photos I think but I did get a couple good photos out of it! Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience and evening!

Our tour guide was Addison (I apologize if I spelled his name wrong) and he was very informative with tons of interesting stories to tell about different constellations. The stars and sunset were beautiful, definitely worth the long drive! And it was a full moon which looked so cool in the shadow of the mountain! Amazing experience! If you get motion or altitude sickness, take something before hand. The view is worth it!!!!
