Seven Birches Winery, located within the grand new Riverwalk Resort at Loon Mountain, in the White Mountains of NH, is hand-crafting classic European grape varietals and locally sourced fruits into wines of distinction.

Looking for fun things to do in the area and we found Seven Birches Winery Tour. The process was fascinating and Mark was an excellent host. We walked among the small field of grapes and learned how they train the grapes to grow across the trellis. We sipped our first wine in the room with the stainless steel vessels surrounded by walls of wooden barrels. They do buy grapes from other country vineyards and we were fortunate to be there on the day of a large shipment. We finished our visit in the tasting room and chose to share our taste choices (we were 2) so that we could taste more.

The winemaker Nathan was engaging and answered everyone’s questions and comments very well. It’s amazing that in this small facility they are able to handle the entire production from grapes to finish! The wines were very good and definitely worth a trip and tour.

Nathan was a great tour guide!! He was knowledgable, funny, and made an effort to cater the tour to our specific group. The tasting portions were generous and we were able to taste a variety of wines, and even a cider. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone coming to the area!
