Overview
Get the complete Memphis experience on this all-inclusive city tour. It’s a part history tour, part attraction hopping, part food tour that will introduce you to everything that makes Memphis special. You’ll visit World Famous Beale Street (the Home of the Blues); the Lorraine Motel, to see the balcony where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated; the Rock 'n' Soul Museum or Edge Motor Museum (if option selected); Lansky Brothers Clothing Store, clothier to Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and B.B. King (and still one of the most stylish places to shop!); and get a barbecue tasting at one of the best barbecue joints in the city!

Along the way, we'll show you our favorite Memphis sights, including the Mississippi River, Victorian Village, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, old Cotton Row, and Court Square, the lovely and historic heart of 19th century Memphis.

Our tour guide Frank made the tour. He was very knowledgeable and made the tour an interesting adventure. If you take the tour, try to get him, you won't be sorry.

There were a few errors/snafus during this tour. (1) the company failed to confirm the detail with the sites there were stopping at. Hence a last minute change of venue for the BBQ Tasting. We were suppose to go to Central BBQ and ended up at BB Kings. The restaurant staff there didn't realize what was happening or it did not get passed down to the waiter one. (2) There were 7 of us who were physically challenged in some way (canes, walkers, braces, etc). The tour guide failed to ask prior to assuming all attendees could go up the stairs to the second level at BB Kings. When she realized her error she got us 2 tables downstairs. By the time the food/drinks were served the attendees upstairs had already received their food and was almost ready to leave. (3) One attendee did not eat pork and had to wait for them to bring her an alternative when was then bagged up to go as the tour was leaving BB Kings. (3) We walked to the Rock 'n' Soul Museum and got there about 20 minutes to 4p and the bus was schedule to leave at 4p. We were able to see the initial video about the museum and thankfully the museum agreed to allow the attendees to return later to complete the tour. (4) When were arrived at the Peabody to watch the ducks we arrived at 4:55p and there was a crowd already in place. Our group was again split to the physical limitations of the attendees and most of us did not get to see the ducks walk to the elevator. (5) at the end of the tour, it would have been a nice make up if the bus had returned us to the museum so we could complete our tour...but that did not happen. I fully realize this is a scheduled tour and that 90% of the time things run smooth but you need to be better able to handle the snafus. I was very disappointed in the way to changes were handled and as an honorably disabled Veteran, I was not happy with the way those of us with physical challenges were handled. Pam

The tour started off rocky. The tour began with the BBQ sampling. There was a change in venue and the new location was not prepared for us. It was confusing and a little chaotic. Next stop was the Rock & Soul Museum. We only had enough time to see the introduction video. They gave us a ticket to come back and see the museum on our own time. Next, we boarded the bus. We litterely drove past the MLK Memorial. We viewed it from a block away. We drove past the historical homes. We got to the Peabody minutes before the duck show and literally could not find a place to view it because of the crowd. I was disappponted every step of the way on this tour.
