This was an excellent tour, and easily worth the price. The canoe ride was actually more relaxing than I assumed it would, and the guides give plenty of chances for breaks and opportunities to take photos and just enjoy the view. The glacier walk itself is something I'd recommend anyone who goes to Juneau, as it was unique and beautiful experience, They provide everything you need (weatherproof jacket, pants, boots, waterproof bags, etc.) so you can go into this pretty light and be fine, although pretty much everyone was up to 3 layers - their clothes, the jackets they brought, and the provided jackets - once we got to the glacier itself. Plenty of opportunities for photos and sights. The guides - Andrew and Ryan - were great. They worked well together, were informative and funny, and made everyone feel safe and at ease.

This is a fantastic tour! Highly recommend! I was a little apprehensive before the tour because I am not the most coordinated or fit person, but our guides Ryan and Casey made the experience great for everyone. We were picked up in Juneau and shuttled out to Mendenhall Lake to be outfitted with all the requisite attire. They handed out rain pants, boots, and jackets before we got on the lake. The ~2.5 mile canoe out to the glacier was work, but definitely doable since everyone is rowing together. Once we arrived, they handed out micro-spikes to put on over our boots and we began walking around on the glacier. You definitely have to have good balance and an ability to walk on uneven ground, but I never felt rushed or worried because we took it at an easy pace. Both Ryan and Casey were extremely knowledgeable about animals and vegetation in the area and were able to answer any questions about the glacier and the surrounding area. They were fantastic leaders, they made sure no one felt alone or left behind, and as a bonus were funny and great photographers. It was an amazing and unforgettable experience.
