Your expert guides will lead you on a journey across Mendenhall Lake where you will paddle together with a small group past icebergs, giant waterfalls, and wildlife. What To Expect

Mendenhall Glacier

Guests will spend 60 minutes hiking around the rocky moraine and exploring near the Mendenhall Glacier.

Tongass National Forest

The entire Mendenhall Glacier ICE Adventure Tour operates in the Tongass National Forest, the largest National Forest in the United States.

I enjoyed the tour from the beginning. With Bryce, kelby, and kevin guiding us throughout the tour. They were extremely helpful throughout the tour ensuring that everyone’s equipment was good to go. As safety always comes first. Glaciers move every day and ensuring all our equipment was properly fastened down.it really shows they enjoy what they are doing. I traveled alone and they were so kind when I was trying to take selfies of myself to offer to take pictures of me along the way. It’s not everyday you get to walk on a glacier and it was such a remarkable experience.

What an experience! From Jasons help on the phone to Ryan and Baxter on the trip! You guys are all top notch! This was truly an experience of a lifetime. Ryan and Baxter made this trip! Their knowledge and entertainment was a great addition to an incredible site. Picture do not do justice to the glacier. Thank you so much for making our trip! 7 day Alaska cruise and the glacier and your team was the best part! And we came close to beating the record time canoeing back!!

Baxter and Jason, you guys are certified professional lecturers in the Natural Sciences department! Hands down the most informative, enjoyable and beautiful up close glacier exploration we have done to date! If you’ve done crampon hiking on Matanushka, this is a totally different experience with some wonderful add-ons including ice cave formations, paddling through a glacial lake and learning so much about glacier behavior through it’s recessive and growth periods. Will have to do again with friends and family next time I am in Juneau. Totally worth your time and money!!
