We stumbled on their Mendenhall Glacier Adventure Tour which includes canoeing to the glacier, exploring the ice caves, and walking on the glacier (a trifecta of my Juneau bucket list). Booking online was fast and easy. They picked us up from downtown Juneau at 8 am and drove us back after the tour around 2 pm. Our guides Paul and Allison were amazing. Everything was easy & relaxed. Safety was prioritized but they never lost the element of fun. All gear plus water and snacks were provided. The canoe had a capacity of 8 (not including the guides) so it was a rather small group, which we preferred. Canoeing to the foot of the glacier took us less than 1 hour. From there, we made our way to the ice caves, which is not far from the lake. After we explored the caves, we put crampons on and walked on the glacier. Everything about this tour was just wonderful! Whether you're in Juneau for one day on your cruise or exploring Alaska for a few weeks, this should definitely be on your list.

My husband, two teenagers, and brother went on then Mendenhall ice adventure. They first paddled in a canoe across the lake where Paul and Griffin were giving them the history of the glacier over a microphone so all could hear. The photos from the ice cave are exceptional. Fluorescent blue!! They were given all the gear they needed for the adventure. They all came back saying it was the best experience of our Alaska trip. Highly recommend.

We cruised to Juneau and booked this tour directly with Liquid Alaska Tours rather than the cruise line. We took the Mendenhall Glacier Ice Caves Adventure Tour. They picked us up in a bus right at the pier, drove us to Mendenhall lake, outfitted us with everything we'd need for our paddle and then trek on the glacier. They provided snacks and water bottles. The caves were amazing-we were very fortunate to get to go in, they were getting narrow at the roof and our guides said they would probably not be safe in another week or so. Our guides (Micah and Allison) were friendly and outgoing. The group was small which was great. I would absolutely recommend this tour, best tour of the trip!
