Your expert guides will lead you on a journey across Mendenhall Lake where you will paddle together with a small group past icebergs, giant waterfalls, and wildlife. What To Expect

Guests will spend 60 minutes hiking around the rocky moraine and exploring near the Mendenhall Glacier.

Tongass National Forest

The entire Mendenhall Glacier ICE Adventure Tour operates in the Tongass National Forest, the largest National Forest in the United States.

This was an amazing experience!!! Mario carefully drove our group through town, sighstseeing and narrating local call outs along the way to the canoe launch site. We boarded a canoe and had fun paddling to the glacier and hiking. The entire time, Ryan shared impactful fun facts about canoeing, hiking, wildlife, and the glacier. Our family learned so much from him and had a great time! Mario and Ryan led us to the very best picturesque sites to see the glaciers full beauty. Ryan was great in taking family pictures for the entire group, to commemorate the experience. After a jawdropping hike that explored the mountains and glacier, we paddled back to the launch site, welcomed with a warm drink for the van ride back. This was an absolutely incredible trip. The communication between us and Ryan/Mario were fantastic. We received a reminder email, text, and phone call prior to our trip. Our cruise ship waa delayed about 45 mins, but before calling them, we bad received a call and text confirming of course they would wait for us. We met Mario directly off the cruiseship gangway, so the meeting spot is very easy to find. If you are going to Juneau, we fully recommend this tour, and will do ir again ourselves when we go back. Thank you Ryan, Mario, and Liquid Alaska for an unforgettable family experience!!!

I'll start by saying that Andrew and Ryan definitely made this tour such an enjoyable experience! They were easy to talk to and were full of knowledge on the glacier, and surrounding area. They took the time to make sure we were safe at all times. The kayak trip was a fun new experience and we were lucky enough to find an ice cavern to take pictures in!

So EPIC!! My husband and I greatly enjoyed this adventure! Andrew and Mario were amazing guides and so knowledgeable! Up close and personal, this glacier is amazing! The colors are so vivid! I was perfectly comfortable and felt safe the whole time! I would do this again for sure!! The glacier is changing fast, so if you've been there...go again!! Thank you Liquid Alaska Tours and Andrew and Mario for a great Experience!!!
