Your expert guides will lead you on a journey across Mendenhall Lake where you will paddle together with a small group past icebergs, giant waterfalls, and wildlife. What To Expect

Mendenhall Glacier

Guests will spend 60 minutes hiking around the rocky moraine and exploring near the Mendenhall Glacier.

Tongass National Forest

The entire Mendenhall Glacier ICE Adventure Tour operates in the Tongass National Forest, the largest National Forest in the United States.

We had a great day out with our tour guide Ryan and Casey. The whole experience from check in to drop off was smooth and painless, the tour has everything prepared (even had hot drinks at the end of the tour for everyone 😃), the guided tour around the glacier was amazing and the guides were patient, attentive, knowledgeable, told great stories and took great photos. Highly recommend!

This experience was so awesome! The glacier and the lake were truly sights to see! Our adventure guides were Ryan and Mario and I don’t think we could have had better humans do a travel trek! They were fun and very knowledgeable about the area. It was a great learning experience about Alaska and its glaciers. Also… if Mario sings a Boy Scout camp song while rowing the canoe.. it might just be the second highlight of your day :) overall 10/10 highly recommend this excursion! Thanks again Ryan and Mario for making our super rainy glacier hike the best one ever!!!! (Also thanks Mario for telling us about the Denali Mac.. we got one in Ketchikan hahahaha)

I highly recommend this trip! Casey and Andrew were awesome! They were very professional all while making us laugh and have a great time. As we paddled across the beautiful lake, Casey and Andrew talked alot about the surrounding area and shared history and local stories. The hike and the views were amazing. Going into a ice cave was incredibly beautiful and one for the bucket list! Take this trip and hope you get Casey and Andrew, I promise you'll laugh and have an amazing time!
