Checked out a very unusual place in Vegas today. This looks like a grocery store but itās actually not! (Itās all an illusion lol). If you explore the store thoroughly, youāll find multiple secret paths to the reality of this illusion. Once you find the secret corporate headquarters, you can hack into their systems to learn the story of this interactive self-guided mystery maze. The grocery store was fun to explore in of itself. Lots of bizarre products that you can actually buy I think. If you explore this maze thoroughly enough, thereās even a bar to enjoy here lol. My favorite thing to do was to find all the secret paths inside the grocery store to get to the āupside downā part of the maze. For example, when exploring the grocery store, you can open the coca cola fridge and then suddenly discover a secret passage way that takes you inside some weird trippy places.
There are a lot of secrets paths to find, mysteries to solve, games to interactive with, slides to slide on, secret areas to climb, a bar to find, and a lot of funny games inside the grocery store. This place was a very unique experience. It reminded me of Teamlab Borderless in Tokyo, Japan.
I gave it 4 stars because I was comparing it to Teamlab Borderless. Omega Mart was amazing! I believe it initiates potential to be even better! Some things Iād like to see improvement on might be things like having more clear goals to achieve and mysteries to solve, giving a sense of progression and rewards for achieving things? For example, some secret rooms can only be accessed if you have a password that you get from hacking one of the computers. Having things to find, having things to look for would be cool! And you can be rewarded with new rooms to access and brag about to your friends who couldnāt find them. Instead of all the senseless and random games in the area, why not create puzzles to beat? When you beat them, you get a piece of a code you need to access a room. Or how about visiting a room and you find a piece of a clue you need to solve a mystery or to help fill in a passcode you need to get to a secret room?
I love the progression from getting out of the grocery store illusion to the secret headquarters, but unfortunately the progression kind of ends there. After that, thereās just random games and things to see. Still cool, but thereās potential to be EVEN cooler! Excited to see future installments like this!
