Mexican Street food, Tijuana Day trip from San Diego

Overview
Street food in Tijuana means, fat, salsa a quick service but mainly a bunch of flavor. Imagine being a student and in your way from the school to your work you don’t have time but a food truck can save you a give you the meal you need to keep going. That kind of experience is in our tour, walk and eat. In the Mexican street food you can find snacks like fresh fruit with lime and pepper who will refresh you in a hot summer day, boiled corn with a little of butter, lime and also salsa you can keep chatting with your friends and exploring the streets. The taco it’s the king of the streets, and there's many presentations  from the simple beans taco to the taco al pastor (asada pork with spices),  put a lot of wacamole and lime and the right salsa to take it to another level. At the end we should look for a good tap room to try craft beer. If you are more like to taste something sweet maybe a margarita in a authentic mexican cantina will be the option. During the tour and tasting the street food you will build your own opinion about mexico, come with us to cross the border.

Humberto was an treat! He showed us non-tourist spots, food was fresh, & we learned some history. Heads up: due to COVID restrictions, the guides can’t meet you in the US and escort you over the border. Had we known this upfront, might not have booked but glad we didn’t because our fears would’ve blocked an incredible day! After walking over the border, you’ll meet your guide at the visitor’s information center. They won’t be wearing an official shirt with name tag nor holding a sign, but the texting is helpful. Humberto was kind, professional, and very attentive (he even carried my backpack!) to the groups needs. In addition he was knowledgeable and really made our Tijuana experience memorable.

Humberto was an amazing tour guide! He was very friendly and knowledgable about the city. He brought us to local food spots which were all so tasty! We also went to a somewhat hidden local brewery and a free tequila tasting. This was the 2nd tour we did with this company and I was happy he took us in his car to tour the city so we could see more places. The first tour we did was the walking tour and Victor was also great but we were tired by the end of it. We had such a great day and we are going back soon! This is a great tour for those who want to experience the city but aren't 100% comfortable going alone. The city isn't scary like you see in the news and these tours really help to debunk all of the negativity. I also noticed the majority of people spoke English which was super helpful. One thing to note is you will most likely need to walk across the border yourself and meet them on the other side due to COVID. It was super easy. If you go I recommend asking for Humberto!
