This was an amazing tour. Bobby was the tour guide and he was very knowledgeable about all things New Mexico. It was just my dad and I and Bobby still put in the effort as if there were 20 of us. My dad was full of questions and he happily answered every one of them. I walked away feeling very informed and intrigued about the history and culture. I would recommend doing this tour 100%!

Don't miss this amazing walking tour! Our charismatic local guide, Stephanie Anne, showed us all of the marvelous nooks and crannies of Old Town with great aplomb! Her informed narration and enthusiasm imparted the true "mezcla" of cultures and nuanced layers of ABQ's multi-century history. I really appreciated how the tour also addressed contemporary issues (such as sculptures and legacy of colonialism), evidence of the fact that, to borrow from Faulkner, the past is never really in the past! To top it off, my husband and I got a great view of the city from the roof the Chaco hotel and then a voucher for the Sawmill (to which we returned twice!). Such a gem.

The Mezcla de Culturas tour was the best tour we've ever had anywhere. It totally exceeded our expectations by a mile. Bobby's deep and wide historical, local, and architectural knowledge, combined with his own multi-generational family's local history (uhhhh... like over a dozen generations back in the area) was astounding. When we come back to the area -- and we will be back -- we'll be signing up for every tour he leads.
