My husband has harbored the desire to fly to Fairbanks for four days to see the northern lights. We did just that from November 4th to the 8th. Fortunately we purchased the tour to drive to the Yukon River Camp and spend the night. Rachel was our guide and she was wonderful. She filled us in on the history, geology and people of the area while safely navigating the winter roads outside of Fairbanks. About 14 miles from our destination the lights came out and the decision to stop in the remote area or go on to the camp had to be made. Rachel stopped and we all got out of the van. That was a good decision in that we enjoyed the aurora for ten or fifteen minutes and we would not have seen them otherwise. Our party stayed outside until after 3 a.m. and they did not re-appear. We did enjoy talking with two men who have sled dogs and we could have taken a ride although it was too cold for me. The staff at the camp were very nice and accommodating. The ride home was full of terrific scenery that we could not see the night before. We even saw Denali and the Alaska range in the distance. I cannot express how much happiness Rachel provided my husband and me. I highly recommend this tour, this guide and this company.

Dear CassiCarolvilla_Iowa, we are so glad you and your husband were able to join Rachel on our brand new tour -- Yukon River Aurora Drive Adventure! We are so excited to have this new adventure to provide visitors a chance to get out and look for the aurora. And yes, Neil and Lauro are the father and son team located at the Yukon River who are sharing information about their life on the river during the summer months and running dogs in the winter. Best wishes for a bright winter! Kathy
