My wife and I spent this past Saturday morning with John. I like to do my own research and so we normally avoid tours as I like to steer the ship (my better half would agree). However the reviews were so good we thought to give it a try. It was great. Although we were the only two that were booked for the tour we were not hurried but instead were treated to a nicely paced almost four hour tour. John loves the city and enjoys traveling and it shows. I was surprised that he had been doing this for just over a year and not ten. The variety of food and drink was excellent. Many of his stops were individual shops or smaller franchises. The staff and owners we were introduced to obviously love the business were happy to show off their place and food. I could not recommend it more and it was well worth the money. You will get plenty to eat. Do not try to guess the stops, the variety was great and you will not be disappointed.

D. - Here's hoping that you'll schedule more Food Tours when you travel!! Although you had done considerable research (You could have passed for a "local"!) I sensed that there were at least a couple of times that something I suggested caught your attention! Therein lies the reason to take a Food Tour early in your visit to any city....get the inside scoop on neighborhood dining as well as asking your guide lots of questions about what else is happening! I love my 2 person tours as they develop their own pace as we quickly become just friends strolling down Peachtree Street. My favorite memory?? You were very pleased with the alcohol pairings...and said so...and then broke out into a big grin!! I was thinking, "Pleasantly surprised!" The next time you and the lovely Angel head back to Atlanta, please don't hesitate to give me a buzz. There is always something new (and fun!) to do! My best to you both! John

If you are ready to walk, sample MANY tasty dishes, and be entertained and informed, then Peachtree Food Tours with John is for you. My friend and I joined 6 congenial fellow adventurers as John shared stories and history related to the Atlanta Midtown foods and drinks he picked for us. Even with all the walking, it was hard to eat all the tasty food. Thankfully, we got take out boxes and dinner that night was the leftovers. If you are a foodie, put this on your Atlanta to do list.

Thanks, Ruth, for taking some time to write a great review! I was thinking about "all the walking". Yep! 2 miles in about 4 1/2 hours! A couple of reasons for what I affectionately refer to as a "Southern Stroll" - - Lots of food! My neighborhood has 60+ restaurants and I aim to give you as many tastes as possible. - Lots of fun! The further we stroll, the more time I have to make up stories. Trying to figure out which of my stories are true (or not so true!) is part of the fun! So...I'm sticking with the current strategy because...I know you had a blast! And...It's the South! I'd never send you home hungry! But...with a to-go box? Absolutely! My best to you! John

When we travel to a new locale, we enjoy learning about the history, architecture, and of course insider information, like the truly best (not just tourist traps) places to eat. PeachTree Food Tours and John, expert guide, embody the quintessential combination of these subjects. We enjoyed every minute and every bite (or sip), and felt warmly welcomed and entertained by our knowledgable and enthusiastic guide. Worth every cent. Riddells, Illinois

Hey Deb! "Worth every cent!" I'd agree with that! (Ha!) In the phone chat before the Food Tour I try to always tell my guests to please eat a light breakfast because my little adventure on Peachtree Street is a lot of food. It's lunch! Then I suggest that dinner plans might be a mistake! And, finally, after "surprise" shopping, you just might have some treats for later, maybe even breakfast! Did I mention a lot of food?! It's the South and I would never send you home hungry! Thanks for the wonderful review! My best to you both! John
