My only wish is that I would have scheduled it my very first day in Atlanta! People, if you are like us, the person you need in a big city is a local. A long time local person knows about their city & obviously loves their city if they want to take you on a tour of it! This is the ONLY way to visit any big city. On John's tour you'll get to know this city with all the history & food it has to offer. The first thing I want to know in a big city is where to eat! Well look no further. Do this tour as soon as you can upon arriving and you'll be set the rest of your stay. Your trip to Atlanta will take on a whole new meaning when you know so much about a city you've never been to or a city you just don't know a lot about. How many of us live in a city and just never learned about the great place we ourselves live?! Well look no further. John also shares his passion for his town & the passion for its food in a friendly, fun way. You get to walk around on foot & visit restaurants you would have never known where there. The restaurants welcome you with open arms & treat you like royalty. Some of the BEST food is in Atlanta with some of the best chefs in the country. The food was amazing. My wife, who is a picky eater, even found out that if food is prepared the right way she could actually like some of the food she didn't normally eat. If there's only time for one thing to do in Atlanta it would be a big mistake NOT to take a Peachtree Food Tour. John, we had a blast! Thanks for the memories. You will never be forgotten. I feel like I have a close friend in Atlanta now.

Spot on review! Thanks, J.!! I love the quote "Your trip to Atlanta will take on a whole new meaning!". I always suggest (which my sweet Jeri and I do almost every time we travel) that the first thing to do in a new destination is to take a Food Tour. Explore a neighborhood! Learn where to dine! And then chat up your guide for more tips on how to best enjoy your visit! As part of what I do, I try to send all my guests a couple of pages of suggestions. Sometimes a local's perspective can help. Big city! Lots of choices! J&A, your Tour had a couple of unexpected parts that made for a kind of wild, but lots of fun, strolling adventure!. Yep! At the end of the afternoon, I wasn't the guide so much as I was a friend showing off my Midtown Atlanta! Let's do this again! My best to you both! John

I think food tours are a great way to discover a new city. I've done food tours in several cities and Peachtree Food Tours did not disappoint. John is funny & engaged. And he selects unique stops with special 'tastes'. I had to share a photo of the hamburger between 2 donuts with my foody friend. He couldn't believe it was delicious. It was! We had fun even in the rain. Take John's advise & do the Fox tour just before. It is a magnificent theater.

N. - Ha! Thanks for the "John is funny" comment as that's easy to do when your husband is egging me on!! I certainly had a great time with you two on the Tour! The best part for me was that after the "World's Best Burger" my Tour guests seemed to forget that it just wouldn't stop drizzling! You guys were troopers and off we went for some more food adventures!! Thanks for taking a few minutes to share your experience! My best to you both! John

Food tours are my new thing after this trip! Had a great host (John) who took us to some great spots, told us some great stories and made us feel welcome to the city of Atlanta!

Scott, It's always fun to have folks from the West Coast in Atlanta for the first time! My job right from the first moment is to make you feel welcome...and that when we stroll through my neighborhood you start feeling a little bit like you're at home. Lots of food! Lots of fun! It's the South and I told you that I would never send you home hungry! Then there were the cocktails that help in making my stories more believable! I swear that they all are true! :) Sign up for more Food Tours! Do the North Beach one in San Francisco! I gave a couple of tickets to my son and they had a blast! My best! (Thanks for the great review!)
