I was in town just for a few days visiting from Australia on my own. Johns tour not only took me to 6 great restaurants and cafes many with a touch of Southern that I would never have discovered on my own but I also got to hear some of Johns great stories and some history about the local area and we all enjoyed his fun antics. He showed us the best of his local "hood" in a small intimate group of 6 the day I went. We all had a great time and thought we were going to burst by the end of the almost 5 hrs we spent meandering around lovely midtown Atlanta. Was a great way to get a taste of the local area in the way of food, history and an orientation to Atlanta. Just do it, you won't be sorry.

For you "International" TA readers, D. is spot on! My Food Tour has lots of Southern treats and then finishes with a sweet surprise for "later". Lots of food! Lots of fun "sips". And...Yep!...I have lots of stories! (Some of which are even true!) Thank you, D. for taking a few moments during your brief visit to write a wonderful review. For a solo traveler, your group was like old friends by the time we said our goodbyes! Gotta love when that happens! Safe travel!

I was blown away by John's Peachtree Food Tour. He has lived in the area for many years and it is clear that he "gets it" when it comes to food, friendliness, and showing people what Atlanta is all about. Not only does John know the best places to eat, but he knows the history behind them. I very much enjoyed how he would stop and explain each point of interest on the tour without feeling like he was talking your ear off. John keeps everything, and everyone, moving along throughout the tour. As he likes to say..."This is a food tour!"..before wrapping up at one place and heading to the next. If you are a first time visitor to Atlanta...or even if you have lived here your whole life...John can show you some amazing, off the beaten path spots that really let you experience the local vibe and flavor. You will not be disappointed!

Thanks, B.!! Sometimes I worry that locals who are really into the Midtown dining scene may be disappointed at times, particularly the World's Best Burger. Maybe you'd been there before?? Ha! No more! Even you and M. were puzzled when I took that left on Peachtree Street. Gotcha! (In a yummy, yummy way!) I always appreciate my guests taking a moment to write a review, sharing their adventure with TA readers. As soon as I launch the "Discover Buckhead" Tour, here's hoping you two are up for another adventure! My best to you both!

We really enjoyed our tour with John on Father's Day. He showed us many hidden gems in the Midtown area of Atlanta. His planning and communication prior to the tour showed his devotion to make this tour just perfect. The bits of history and trivia made it more than just a food tour. That being said, we were stuffed afterward and waddled back to our rented condo downtown. The food and drinks were paired perfectly and with imagination. Who doesn't like peanuts in their Coke? We recommend this tour to everyone. It was a fun, different thing to do to really feel 'local' in Atlanta.

K. - Thanks for taking a moment to post a review...especially one that captures the heart of my Food Tour! My "planning and communication prior" starts with a call when you purchase tickets so I can say "Thank You!" and begin the chat about the Tour. Then I call a few days before the event to be certain that we are clear on the meeting place and time. And....how about free parking if you are driving in??!! Sweet!! Skip forward and we "waddled" somewhere after the Food Tour. That is certainly a visual! :) Finally, "feel local" is the whole goal of my Tour! You are in my neighborhood, I want you to feel like you know where to dine...and have fun! And come back again...and again! My best to you both!
