This was our first food tour and it was awesome! Would highly recommend it to anyone who would like information around Atlanta mid town. John was born to do this and has so much information and insight on unique restaurants and food. Such a great way to spend the day and great conversation with John and the group. It is absolutely worth the money he charges.

C. - Well....let's not make my Tour your last one! Just trust your fellow TA reviewers and if that city's Food Tour isn't exactly what you were looking for, try a cooking class! Thank you for the wonderful review and when you and A. get back together, I'll bet there is a Food Tour in your future. Don't forget to chat up the local guide for more tips and suggestions....and don't wait until you get there. Lots of my guests have called prior to arriving in Atlanta to ask about dining/fun options and opportunities.....from best breakfast to authentic BBQ. Travel more! Lots of food and fun out there!

My husband and I had an amazing time with our tour group and John walking midtown Atlanta. Lots of great food and conversation! Some very unique foods and things I wouldn't have necessarily tried on my own. Would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone, and would also urge you to plan on nothing/something very small for dinner late that night. You will not go home hungry. :)

A. - Thanks for the sweet review! You have some great advice to your fellow TA readers and then I'll add on a second suggestion. First, A. is spot on! Please don't make early dinner reservations after your Peachtree Food Tour! It's a 4 1/2 hour, five course lunch! Then a surprise shopping event that involves more food! Yikes! Secondly, I always recommend that visitors schedule a Food Tour, regardless of where you are, as your "first adventure"! Get to know the city and its dining options....then spend some of that Tour time chatting with the local guide! I'm always full of suggestions and ideas and truly want you to have a great time in Atlanta!

John is a great host and he loves his city. You get more than a food tour out of this. You get a great introduction to the area, it's history, and what's happening currently plus the great food. To top it all off John and Jeri went out of their way to get us through some bad weather somewhat dry and with smiles on our faces. I would do this again in a heartbeat, my only regret was not doing this at the beginning of our trip where we could have used the information we learned. This was our first food tour and I don't see how it could have been any better or how future food tours could possibly measure up.

R. - Thanks for the wonderful review! Yikes! TA readers will have huge expectations....but I'm up for the challenge! It's actually easy to share my neighborhood's history and food when folks like you and your wife are eager for the adventure! And you both came hungry! Lots of food! Lots of fun! Now my challenge to you..... How much of my Tour was truthful vs how much stuff I made up on the spot? Particularly when I mentioned the absolutely wrong Alabama football team! Sorry! I tried to make it up to you! Heck! Let's do this again and I'll wear a Roll Tide t-shirt! For awhile!
