We've been to Atlanta many times and for this past trip, we were looking to experience something different. I'm so glad that we signed up for the Atlanta Gourmet food tour. The meeting location was central to midtown, easy to find, and parking was available. Rachel did an awesome job making the tour fun, laid back, and informative with a few history facts and stops along the way. She engaged with everyone (7 people) in the group and made us feel welcome. The food was filling and delicious and we even went back to Einstein's for appetizers later that evening. Definitely bring your walking shoes, but with multiple stops, the tour walking mileage isn't too difficult.

Our son and daughter-in-law had booked this tour for us as a treat for our wedding anniversary. We were a group of 7 with a guide, Leigh, and her supervisor Sara. We were on Leigh’s last tour before she would be guiding independently, and I would say she’s ready to fly solo. Every restaurant was interesting, although. as might be expected, I preferred some to others. Probably my least favorite treat was the donut-hamburger, but I am very pleased I got to taste it. The shrimp and grits might have been my favorite. All the alcoholic drinks were delicious. The food portions were generous. For my wife, they were actually too generous, because she was unable to finish them all. Leigh and Sara could not have been nicer. They entertained us throughout and genuinely seemed to enjoy showing us around and telling us stories of the area. Because one of the restaurants was really busy, Leigh moved us onto the next stop, where there was plenty of room to sit. In addition, I left a bag at one of the restaurants and Sara went back for it. Three couples were celebrating wedding anniversaries this month and we were given a little cake with a candle on it at the last stop. We had a taste of the variety of food and drink available in Atlanta; we had expected it to be more “Southern,” whereas it actually showed how cosmopolitan the city has become. That might be an effective way of selling the tour, both to Atlantans and to visitors.

Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to write this insightful review! We are really happy to know you have enjoyed your time with Sarah & Leigh and are also happy to know you have recommended our newest team member :-) Atlanta has certainly become quite a cosmopolitan city! There is so much hispanic, asian & even indian influence in Atlantan life that it has had a great impact on even our day-to-day food choices, as you were able to witness! Thank you for offering your recommendations, we are certainly heading in that direction! Sending smiles from Atlanta, The Flavors Team

If your in the Atlanta area this is absolutely a must! Food was amazing! We especially loved our tour guides Sarah and Leigh, they were very informative about the restaurants and the history of Atlanta. They made it fun and interactive. It’s super filling and definitely worth the price. Every meal is delicious, my two favorites were the shrimp and grits and the Korean fried chicken tacos paired with the sesame fries, scrumptious! Only thing I would change is the dessert restaurant. I was expecting a good southern dessert like peach cobbler, or a nice pie. Next time I’m in Atlanta I will definitely try it out again.
