I found John’s tour mentioned in the AAA guidebook, and I’m so glad! It is the first food tour my husband and I have ever done, but it won’t be our last. John entertained us with stories about Atlanta’s history and restaurants while ushering us to five locations for food and drinks. He spoke with great knowledge and affection about Midtown, his neighborhood for 22 years. I really enjoyed seeing St. Mark’s, John’s church, and hearing about its history. The food and drink offerings were varied and delicious. I also found the tour to be a good value; we were still eating some of the goodies two days later! What a pleasurable way to spend five hours! John treated us like old friends. He even gave us a recommendation for a wonderful restaurant within walking distance of our hotel.

Hi Edie! What a lovely afternoon we all had! My groups are always small so that at the end of the day we feel like old friends. Most tours are 4 hours but we all got to chatting and strolling and laughing...and no one was watching the time. (No need to as we all were having too much fun!) As a guide in my neighborhood...and representing the city of Atlanta, I always have recommendations for other dining options. Big city! Lots of choices! And I'm here to help! I see many more food tours in your travel future. My sweet Jeri and I have been on 20+ food tours around the world so don't hesitate to send me your questions. My best to you both! John

I went on this tour while my husband attended a national dental meeting. I booked the tour the evening before it started after talking to some other dental wives. I am so glad I did! John was such a fabulous host. He kept us all entertained with his stories and the food was fantastic! The food servings were not tastings but practically half portions. You will not come away hungry. I enjoyed one restaurant so much I went back the next day! ! Thank you John for such a wonderful experience!

"Entertaining stories" Yep! That's true. Although fact checking on my stories could be a waste of time as sometimes the facts get in the way of entertaining. :) "Fantastic food!" Oh yeah! Lovely neighborhood restaurants with yummy portion sized tastes...and several stops have clever alcohol pairings. Thanks, Cindy, for sharing what a terrific afternoon of fun a Peachtree Food Tour can be. And...you went back for more!! That is a wonderful note regarding the quality of my restaurant choices. I see a Honolulu food tour in your future!!! My best! John

We planned this tour as a corporate event and had a lovely time! John was a great guide and taught even the locals on the tour so many new things about the Midtown area. The food was great and all came with a bit of history. I would recommend this tour for a team event or even a group of friends. Thank you John!

"A team event!" "A group of friends!" More and more folks want to enjoy an "experience" together vs a large table at a restaurant. Why not walk...and chat...and taste....and sip...and repeat!! Food tours are perfect for an office outing...or a treat for your sales people that are in town for training...or even a bunch of folks celebrating a birthday. Food, booze, and fun...with a bit of history...and on my tours, a lot of made up stories!! TA Reader: If you've never been on a Food Tour, try mine...and you'll quickly learn why smart travelers (and clever event planners) find such great value in the experience. Thanks, Shivani for taking a moment to share. My best! John
