Overview

Join us for a 3 hour hands on photography workshop with a professional photographer with Manhattan as both backdrop and classroom. As you explore the city you will also learn how to get the most out of your camera and how best to compose for the perfect photograph. It doesn't matter whether you have a smartphone or DSLR camera, as long as it's digital; all levels of experience are welcome.

Great tour which improved my photography, showed me sights and more importantly was fun! We were taught a lot about composition, how to use our cameras better and a lot of technical information to help us understand light, depth of field etc. Sim was really thoughtful and brought us all hand warmers which were definitely needed as the temp was -10c.

Met with a small group and Zim, our photo guide, near the Empire State building. The group were visitors the NYC, the youngest 8 the oldest 70. I loved that Zim worked with us regarding the use of our cameras first -- and she is good. I am an advanced amateur and I learned a lot. Then we when on an Iconic tour of Midtown. She had us look for the creative, not just the prosaic. It upped the quality of my NYC photos for the whole trip. I heartily recommend this or one of the other NYC Photo Safari tours.

We did this for our daughter to help her learn how to use her camera. Little did we know that we would learn how to use our phone cameras as well! Zim was AMAZING and so great teaching our daughter how to use her camera correctly. She took the time to correct her wrongs and give us tips on how to take better pictures! Definitely recommend the NYC Photography Safari for any age!
