Overview

Join us for a 3 hour hands on photography workshop with a professional photographer with Manhattan as both backdrop and classroom. As you explore the city you will also learn how to get the most out of your camera and how best to compose for the perfect photograph. It doesn't matter whether you have a smartphone or DSLR camera, as long as it's digital; all levels of experience are welcome.

I had the pleasure of spending 2,5 hours with Zim and I truly enjoyed our photo safari. My aim was not a sightseeing but I felt I needed some tips on composition, some help regarding how to put different elements within a frame.. Surely the Grand Central Station and midtown Manhattan buildings were great settings but Zim's livelyhood and in depth knowledge made the tour awesome.. Thanks Zim, hope to schedule a new safari next time I am in New York..

I was expecting a simple composition tour. What I got was far, far better!! It ended up being a private lesson, and was worth every minute. I got a detailed education on how to take advantage of the many features of my camera. That was worth it alone. Then we took pictures, and where I had difficulty envisioning the image, I was taught how to seek it. Through composition and exposure, I started taking much better images. This was so worth the time. I suspect I will be back.

We had an excellent photographer named Zim. She provided us with a knowledge of her craft with fresh ways to look at our surroundings. The rules of thumb were excellent and she was an expert at seeing and how to frame what you see in a photograph. I particularly liked the rules for shooting buildings and parts of the structure.
