I have been on tours throughout the country over the last 5 years and I have found that the guide can make or break the tour. "Agent Food" definitely supports this theory. You can tell the town, history, and food of MKE is something he is enthusiastic about sharing and continuously learning about as well. He tailored the tour to the group dynamic of our particular tour, made sure to call everyone by name (which is highly underused in my book), and was at ease with the group from start to finish - even with the surprise ending on our particular tour. Way to go Ross!!!

This weekend I went on a walking tour with Secret Food Tours – Milwaukee, which was like a progressive lunch. Secret Food Tours is an international company that recently added Milwaukee to its list of offerings. Our guide Ross (aka Agent Food), not only shared information about some of the historic Milwaukee buildings and landmarks, but also informed us about the history of the iconic foods we enjoyed! Ross selected foodie places that best represented some of the cuisine that Milwaukee, Wisconsin is known for. Our meeting place, The Public Market, has a lot to offer, including the fish fry we enjoyed. The tour was well planned and each of the establishments we stopped at was expecting us with a reserved table, and quickly served the foods and beverages that we were there to experience. The staff at each location were friendly and helpful. At the Wisconsin Cheese Mart, we were also given some time to shop so we could purchase something to take home. The tour concluded at Mader's where we indulged in their renown German Chocolate Cake. In a nutshell, it was an entertaining, educational walking tour enjoyed with great food and beverages, and new friends made! I enthusiastically recommend this tour for anyone wanting to experience Milwaukee food and history and as a great option for entertaining visitors.

I took some out of town relatives on the tour and was thoroughly impressed! I have lived in Milwaukee for 15 years and I even learned a few new things. The tour guide Ross was well prepared, friendly, and very entertaining. Ross had some fun surprises for us along the way...without giving too much away, this is more than a simple food tour. That said, the food was of course excellent...the best of what Milwaukee has to offer. We left full and satisfied. Great way to spend an afternoon in Milwaukee!
