We had a great time on the 1/2 day “mild” trip. We knew what to expect from the description, class 1-2 rapids, mostly a scenic float. Tiana our guide was great and shared knowledge of the area. I was able to take lots of pictures and add captions based on her info. The other two couples we went with were fun and we had lots of good conversation. Our bus driver was great, it’s a very scenic drive as well. We did have some wait time before getting on the water waiting for the full day people to eat their lunch. We brought food since it is not provided for 1/2 day rides so we just ate then. We were planning to eat on the ride, before we knew we were going to be asked to paddle. Paddling and getting splashed made for a more authentic experience!

Guide and equipment were top notch. Annie was excellent even though she tried to tell us that the baby eagle had a white head it’s first year. Eagle heads turn white in 4-5 years. The ride, the pretrip orientation, the safety measures and Annie’s knowledgeable commentary were all excellent. There seemed to be very good organization. This was not a rapids run but the water was low and we still had water over the people in the front. This is not the trip We enjoyed the experience and recommend it for a pleasant ride down the Colorado with excellent scenery.

Annie, our dread head mama duck gave us a wonderful, fun, safe trip that we will remember fondly. Calm waters when you want to sit back and take in the scenery and fun rapids for a little adventure.
