This tour includes Slick Rock, Hells Gate, Mickeys Hot Tub, Car Wash Hot Tub, Escalator, Cowboy Hill, Really Steep Hill, and the Colorado River Overlook! These are named obstacles (difficult rated) parts of the trail that no other company in Moab will offer you - not even with a rental.

What To Expect

Hell's Revenge

This is not a comparable tour to any of the Jeep or Hummer Tours. This trip is about going to do all of the things that they aren't doing. We go further, and cover more ground in the same amount of time. This trip includes all obstacles on the trail that you won'e even see with someone else. These obstacles are "Mickeys Hot Tub" "Car Wash Hot Tub" "Hells Gate" and "Escalator". All ages are welcome - proper safety equipment and professional drivers are provided.

My husband and I are big hikers but wanted to end our time in Moab with a non-hiking activity. I came across Xtreme 4x4 Tours and even though it was expensive, I didn't see how a place could have so many 5 star ratings and not be amazing. We were not disappointed! We joined a 3-hour Extreme tour on a Saturday morning at 9am. It was a busy day and they had two tours running - we were in Dave's rig. This is not the company's fault, but I will note they've had issues with people finding their location recently and the other party in our vehicle was over 15 minutes late. They eventually got there and I didn't feel like we missed out on any aspect of our tour because it essentially ran 15 minutes over, but I'd urge you to read the emails they send and click on the included directions link from your phone. If you do that, you really can't mess up or go to the wrong place. Once on the road after we took the first turn at quite the angle, I knew we were in for a fun morning. We headed up to the Hell's Revenge Trail. There was a line to get into the area as the payment booth creates a bottleneck, but it did move fairly quickly. Apparently the line gets longer as the day goes on, so you might want to consider an early morning tour or a non-weekend tour to avoid waiting. It is really hard to describe the experience in words or pictures. I watched Xtreme's YouTube video ahead of time and even that didn't prepare me for how fun or extreme the tour would be. I consider myself an adventurous person but this had me closing my eyes and screaming more times than I'd like to admit. Dave is a highly skilled and extremely capable driver. I couldn't believe some of the walls we climbed up and down. It was SO much fun! I was laughing and shaking my head the entire time. I also liked that the guides acted as good stewards of the trail - helping out other inexperienced drivers and picking up trash they found along the way. As others have said, this was the most fun experience of our trip and it is 100% worth the money. We will recommend this tour to everyone visiting Moab!

Super professional company and very knowledgeable driver. The modified Xtreme Jeep is incredible in what it can do - you won't believe your eyes as you're making your way up and down steep rock slabs. We loved it!

This was definitely xtreme, but in all the best ways! Our guide Garrit was fantastic, he made the insane trails seem safe all while being tons of fun. He knew a ton about the local area and had great suggestions. I can’t recommend this company, guide or experience enough!
