The journey on the boat out onto the harbor was like nothing we ever experienced before. As we head onto open water, we were bouncing wave after wave as we reached turtle canyon. Once being instructed what to do with our flippers and snorkeling equipment, we dived right into the water, finding our orientation with the lifeguard, and snorkeling our way to some fun.
We saw 4-5 sea turtles before our masks fogged up, and admittedly, the crowds were claustrophobic at times, not to mention bumping into people in the water. However, the practice of snorkeling and swimming in the water with the help of a floatation device and seeing the open ocean for the beauty it is, makes up all the more for the experience. We were sad to leave even as the current picked up, entering the boat once again.
Our complements to the crew for providing water to quench our thirst as we rode back to the harbor and shore. Thank you for this unforgettable experience.
