I booked a tour for January 25, 2025 because I am bringing my daughter to NY for her birthday. We booked the "Luxe" experience ($139) so we could all the extras, unfortunately, I have an allergy to Iodine and can't consume salmon or caviar. I sent a message through their website asking if they could simply substitute the salmon and caviar for an additional chicken sandwich. I didn't receive a response so after several days I called the number posted on Google. Firstly, when the customer service rep answered the call, it sounded like I interrupted a nap (I called at 4:30ish central time). I explained my situation and her response was a flat-out "No we can't do that; the food is catered" My response was "So if I paid for the "luxe" experience and the only luxe food options are seafood, what I am supposed to eat during the tour?" Her response was "Well don't eat it then" and "You should have gotten the petite menu instead". So basically, if you have a food allergy, you don't deserve the privilege of the luxe experience. Also, nowhere on their website does it say "WE CANNOT SUBSTITUTE FOOD" If it had said that, I would PASSED and not purchased tickets, which are non-refundable.
