We had a great experience with our scooter rental. Check in was simple and well put together. The practice run with the scooter was essential and we felt safe taking the scooters out after our practice. Getting to see Monterey on scooters was an immersive experience, so different and relaxiing compaired to riding in a vehicle. Taking the scooters along the coast was best for us to get use to how the scooters work so when we got into town traffic we were more confident in our scooter skills. Being able to pull over and see the sites on our terms was great! Our only wish is that we would have thought to bring ear buds so we could hear the narrations while driving. Will be reserving scooters next time we are in monterey as well!

It was a little stressful at first getting used to the scooter. The guy said it’s easier than riding a bike and I was counting on that because I’m not a great bike rider. It was a Saturday afternoon so the road was very busy, sometimes a little stressful for me personally because of all the cars and stop signs but we still had a great time. Do all of the “orientation” stuff before hand it makes check in easier. If you’re like me and have never operated something like this watch the video a few times. Wear closed toe shoes. We did the scenic tour. Definitely stop, check out the sites, take photos, etc. I didn’t end up needing my gloves but on a cold day I could see how you would want gloves while riding. They disinfect every scooter and helmet before giving them to you.
