Monument Valley Air and Ground Tour from Phoenix (MVJ)

Overview
The Monument Valley tour includes Sedona, Meteor Crater, and Monument Valley. It begins with a scenic, narrated, flight through the Red Rock formations of Sedona. It then takes in the San Francisco Peaks and the Painted Desert.

The tour continues and may make a brief stop in Page, Arizona, located along the shores of Lake Powell (depending on aircraft).

The flight will continue on to Monument Valley where you will experience the monuments from the air. The flight will land at Gouldings Field, just minutes from Monument Valley, and embark on a guided, 90 minute 4X4 ground tour into the Navajo Tribal Park. Your Navajo guide will provide insights into the culture and beauty of this sacred area. Finally, return to Gouldings Lodge for a delicious Navajo Taco lunch before returning to the airport for the scenic return flight.

Phoenix
Departing from Phoenix enjoy a scenic, narrated flight over Sedona, overflight of the Grand Canyon's widest and deepest part, flight over Lake Powell to Monument Valley. Land and have a 90 minute 4X4 ground tour into the Navajo Tribal Park to John Ford's Point, then return to Gouldings Lodge for a Navajo Taco lunch before your return flight on a more direct route over Meteor Crater and back to Phoenix.

We very much enjoyed our Monument Valley tour with Westwind Air. We would not have been able to experience the region and see so much of the Grand Canyon if it wasnt for this tour as it would have been way too far for us to drive and they put together a wonderful, convenient day that allowed us to see the majesty of the Grand Canyon that you cannot hike and Horseshoe Bend and Lake Powell and flew us right to the entrance of Monument Valley where we were met by a tour guide and taken privately around the park and treated to a delicious lunch and dropped right back to our plane and flown back to Sedona. It was comprehensive and efficient and we got so much accomplished in a very comfortable way. I was very grateful this existed! Everything ran on time and I would recommend this company and their tours.

Our pilot, Jameson, is a skilled and knowledgeable aviator who ensured that we were comfortable throughout our tour. He pointed out many interesting landmarks, and he was very friendly and thoughtful. Also, Gayle, who booked our tour, was very helpful and she quickly followed up whenever we emailed her with questions. The plane was clean and the scenery was amazing! We have been to the Grand Canyon before, but seeing it from above is a “must do.” Also, we will never forget Monument Valley...WOW! Seeing MV by land and air was spectacular and allowed us to complete one more item on our bucket list! Plus, flying to MV saved us hours in the car! We recommend Westwinds!
