We started early with a pickup from Sedona by our first guide, Trenton. He was right on time, and really friendly! He checked us in quickly and we were on our way to pick up the last individual in Flagstaff.
Along the way Trenton described the different micro climates we were seeing as we drove towards Monument valley. The van was comfortable, and air conditioned, which was great because it can get quite hot in August.
We stopped off for a few minutes at a couple of sites as we made our way north, and enjoyed a very nice, casual, lunch as our final stop before we arrived at the valley.
Trenton had waters, some candy (we ate so much), sunscreen, and even some Tylenol for my husband. It was really convenient, and we appreciated his preparedness.
Once we arrived at the valley we met our Navajo guide, Larry, who took us in another van on our 90 minute tour to see all the different monuments. It was awe inspiring! We had such a great time taking pictures and experiencing the vastness of the valley. Pictures just can’t do it justice, you have to see it yourself to truly understand how nature has made such beautiful stone structures.
Definitely recommend!
