Monument valley is an excellent place to visit with itā€™s beautiful monuments, buttes and spires. There are so many of these monuments that you can spend an entire day exploring it. Our tour guide Toney was excellent and we would recommend him. The checkin process was however not very organized. (Others on the tour called it confusing). We had to ask several tour operators ( there are at least 10-20) in the open parking lot of View hotel to find out who was our operator since Viator did not provide the name, no one knew who we had our reservation with. The location that Viator had told us was not correct (hotel lobby). When we went to the lobby they directed us to parking lot, from one location of parking lot we had to go to another and then another. It was very frustrating. Finally we found our operator after asking about 5-6 operators. The phone number Viator gave us never picked up or called back (Shay). After that the trip was ok. Viator needs to streamline this process. There is no internet in the entire monument valley (Make your preparations at the hotel where there is WiFi). The open vans are ok ( not very comfortable). The entire ride is on a dirt road and can get bumpy at times. Not sure why they cannot have better vans/ trucks. It looks like something from 50-60s. 2.5 hour tour is enough- 3.5 hour tour gets too long. No one wanted to get down to see the sights after about 2 hours of the ride. Overall No complains with the tour itself, however Viator needs to insist with their partners to be more organized.

Fantastic experience. Highly recommended! Our guide was very good and we had all a great time. We took the 9.00 am tour and was perfect without too many cars/people around us. Enjoy!

We had a wonderful time on the sunset tour! Our guide Toney was very knowledgeable about the valleyā€™s history and did a wonderful job of showing us around. A minor piece of feedback might be to include a mounted speaker for the tour guide to give commentary as we drive, rather than just at each individual stop. Also tip for people with motion sickness - take medicine. The roads are a bit rocky and you bounce around a lot. I found that to be great fun, but I know motion sickness sufferers might disagree.
