The Monument Valley itself is beautiful, but the tour takes you to places you wouldn’t see by yourself and Duffy (our guide) was very kind and entertaining! This tour made our visit even more special and something we will always remember! La Monument Valley è bellissima di per sè, ma il tour porta in posti che da soli non si riuscirebbero a vedere e Duffy (la guida) è stato molto gentile e divertente! Il tour ha reso la nostra visita ancora più speciale e qualcosa che ricorderemo per sempre!

My friend Patty and I had a private, off-road tour of the non-public part of Monument Valley in March 2018 with Toney Begay, a very personable Navajo guide from Monument Valley Tours. He has been guiding there for 39 years and has a wealth of knowledge which he loves to share. He gave us a very special tour which included: places that he first visited as a kid; an out-of-the-way visit to one of the very few residents of the valley; stories from his grandparents; what it was like to go to a Navajo school; and he even took us to a beautiful intimate setting, sat us down, took out his hand drum and sang to us a Navajo love song that his grandmother taught him. It was really cool. He also had lots of little secret things and places that he shared. He shaped the tour especially for us and I am sure that he could meet a wide variety of interests for other tourists. I highly recommend Toney to other visitors to Monument Valley. Did the 3.5 hour trip with Toney from 1pm. Starting off on the loop road we took in some amazing sights and Toney entertained us with some interesting facts and good humour. Then we went onto the private roads and the trip just got better and better. Toney helped us with our photography, sang some wonderful songs and adapted the trip to our specific wants. Toney was a wonderful guide and if you just drive the loop road you really aren’t doing the area justice, as it has many fantastic views to offer that you would never see. Highly recommended.
