The entire experience was terrific. I took the 3.5 hour tour and was glad I did. In this tour you not only see "the basics" (which are great but are views you can mostly see on line or from the the main building) but also go into the "back country". There you see ancient hieroglyphics, caves and wild horses. But, depending on your guide, can experience Navajo drum and vocal music but also personal stories from the Navajo guides. I cannot speak regarding all the guides, but our, Don Mose, is a gem. He is a native Navajo who has had many unique and fascinating experiences not just in Monument Valley (MV) but, literally, around the world. As someone who grew up in MV, he imparts his unique experiences to your journey and his, and his family's personal stories. Don fully interacts with everyone in your tour and, especially, with children. In the course of the tour he provides interactive activities and stories as well as moving of his own and Navajo history. . Do a tour with Don and it will positively impact your life and anyone with you. And, just by the way, my tour group would not let me participate as a single person, but made me pay as a couple.

The guide was very friendly. He told us the position of the best photo in each stop. The tour is more or less 3h 30min so you can see The Monument Valley very good.

Our Navajo Guide, Duffy, played his double flute in a beautiful alcove which was very peaceful. Then he returned us to The View Lodge in time to have dinner on the patio and see this view.
