Morning Rogue River Hellgate Canyon Half-Day Trip

Overview

The half-day trip on the Rogue River through Hellgate Canyon is our most scenic half-day trip. The forbidding walls of Hellgate Canyon rise out of the water at the rivers edge marking a dramatic point of transition into the whitewater downstream. As we float through the canyon osprey and eagles fly over head as the search the river for fish. This trip flows through two distinct gorges and concludes with two of the best class II rapids on the day section of the Rogue River. This is a great trip anyone wanting to learn to inflatable kayak or any family with younger kids wanting to raft.

My family went on a half day trip down the rogue and it was a lot of fun! Our guides, Bill and Moira had a lot of stories about the area and information about the wildlife.

Total blast! Absolutely beautiful river and cool wildlife...eagles, salmon. This is a great trip for all ages. Bill, our guide, was a lot of fun and super knowledgeable on the area. Going back for the full day trip.

I give Orange Torpedo an 11/10! We did the half day Rogue River Hellgate canyon trip and it was truly an incredible experience! Every interaction I had with this company was 1st class! I called with questions leading up to our trip and they were super friendly and helpful and answered all of my concerns. Then on the day of the trip Kalen was the ultimate rafting guide! He was very knowledgeable about the area having grew up there and just an all around expert leading us thru the rapids while keeping us highly entertained with his awesome stories about the area. You could tell from the moment we met him how passionate about his job he was and he couldn’t have been any more attentive to us. I will be booking with Orange Torpedo on all of our future Oregon trips and requesting Kalen as our guide!
