The top five mile section of road to the Summit of Mount Evans is scheduled to be closed for the season on September 7, 2024 at Summit Lake.
The lower section of the road will remain open until October 7, 2024 depending on weather conditions.
Bring a warm jacket and dress in layers.
No children under the age of 7. Private tours are recommended for families with children.
You may experience altitude sickness. Avoid alcoholic beverages for 24 hours prior to departure time.
Tour might be cancelled or modified due to the weather or road closures.
No refunds will be issued due to weather or road closures.
Minimum number of 4 passengers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

We will enjoy 40 minutes at the park.

Clear Creek Whitewater Park

Scenic drive through Clear Creek Canyon into the city of Idaho Springs. We will stop for a Photo Opportunity.

Idaho Springs City Hall

We will Stop at the Historic Town of Idaho Springs For lunch.

Mount Blue Sky Scenic Byway

We will take the Mount Evans Scenic Byway to the summit

Mount Blue Sky

We will reach 14,271 ft in elevation.

Summit Lake Park

We will enjoy 25 minutes at the Lake.

Echo Lake Park

We will stop at the Echo Lake Park, our last bathroom stop before returning to Denver.

I really enjoyed this tour! I knew I wanted to drive to the top of Mount Evans when planning my trip to Colorado but didn't want to do the drive myself as the roads are a bit scary, so I decided to book this tour! Our tour guide, Jason, was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He also was an excellent driver and made me feel safe on the road up to the summit. The pictures we took from the summit are spectacular! We even got to see some wildlife! I liked that this tour also stops at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre, which was also on my list of places to visit. Lunch is not included, but you stop in Idaho Springs where there are plenty of restaurants.
