What To Expect

George Washington's Mount Vernon

Tourists will have the opportunity to spend their time at the estate, the mansion, former Slave quarters, the Slave Museum, the Education Center, the Stables and Washington's burial site. Afterwards you will be able to commemorate your trip by visiting the restaurant and gift shop located on the estate.

Here you will view a biographical film about George Washington as a young officer during the Revolutionary War. This film takes place at the time when he was a General-to-be and later, the President of the United States.

Great day out at Mount Vernon - pick up on time. Robert our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The, estate was great to see - a lot of history! Not all of the attractions were open as now out of season but overall a great day out. Drive back via Alexandria and saw some sights of DC. Would recommend this tour

Great day tour to Mount Vernon (interior first two floors and exterior grounds). Unfortunately, Washington's Tomb was being renovated, but the forest area is beautiful. Slave Memorial designed by students from Howard University was both inspirational and sad.
