Haven’t had a chance to see the snow for a long time and it was the best experience hiking at mt. Rainier in the winter time. Highly recommended for solo travelers

I’m so glad that we paid for a tour because of I had tried to get my girlfriend to do the tour on my own she probably would have pushed me off! Lucas was a great guide and alerted us about the food situation and stopped for groceries and provided last minute reminders to get cold gear if needed. He was very knowledgeable of the area and accommodating to the several different hiking capabilities of the group. Hiking in the snow was a very unique experience that we likely wouldn’t have done without a guide like Lucas. If going in the winter pack warm and waterproof shoes and pants!

Thank you for reviewing Lucas and deciding to experience Mt. Rainier with us instead of on your own. It's also great that you mentioned about dressing warm and wearing waterproof gear as it's extremely important during this time of season.

I only expectated to get a decent hike and a couple great images of Mt. Rainier. What I got instead was the best tour i've ever had. Because I wasnt close to any of the pick up locations listed, I was able to call and get a pickup location that worked for the tour guide and myself. Lucas was our tour guide. He was overwhelmingly knowledgeable and personable. He was very engaging on our bus ride to Rainier which made the trip feel short. We stopped to a grocery store on our way for any goodies we may want/need during our tour. Lucas kept safety first. He was able to balance everyones needs and levels of ability during the hikes. He's very patient and will do whats best for the group. Though we were unable to see the moutain due to cloud cover, He put our group in positions to get some of the best imagery ive ever seen. It was more like a winter wonderland with beautiful waterfalls, frozen lakes, glaciers all around. If youre touring during the winter months, be absolutely sure to bring layers of clothing and shoes that are water resistant, that has good grip and that are comfortable (preferably a hiking shoe). Things can get pretty slippery around there. I recommend scheduling your tour with Lucas. I'll definitely be bringing my family and friends back next year to get that one of kind touring experience. This is an extremely amazing tour for the money. It exceeded expectations.
