We absolutely loved our tour of Mount Rainier and this tour was perfect! Our guide Lucas was so friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating and we really appreciated him! Because our tour was just our group and one other lovely lady, Lucas was able to be really flexible with us and get us around to various points in the park! We saw so much! Perhaps I hadn't read the tour descriptions well enough, but we were surprised by the amount of hiking we did, but we enjoyed it! This isn't just a hop on hop off bus tour--we actually hiked to a couple of waterfalls, etc. We also enjoyed the hour or so we had on our own up at Sunrise to visit the gift shop, talk with the rangers and hike a couple of short trails (in the rain!). If you're in the Seattle area and want to visit Mt. Rainier, I'd highly recommend booking this tour!

We loved this tour. We were blessed with great weather the whole time we were in Seattle area, and the day we went to Mr. Rainier did not disappoint. Shannon our tour guide was the best, very friendly and laid back, we did not feel stressed about the time we spent at each stop. We stopped at one place and the birds were eating out of peoples hands, so I was going to run back to the bus and get some crackers that I brought, but Shannon said no, I have some bird seeds with me, and let us all feed the birds and let us have the time to capture the pictures. Shannon has a love for nature and you could tell she enjoyed sharing it with us. While it's true you could drive up the the mountain yourself, let me tell you the stress free tour is the way to go, Shannon knew where the overlooks were and where to park, all the things you would have had to figure out for yourself and possibly missed. We went during the week and with the covid restrictions I'm sure the crowds were less, but still parking must be a beast on a busy sunny day like we had. The only complaint, was that our hotel was not on the downtown on the pick up list, so we sent a message to our Viator rep and was told that we could park at the Mopop or the airport, we knew the parking downtown would be a bit more, but decided this would be best for us location wise for pick up and drop off, unfortunately we park in a lot with a 10 hour max (did not realize this, just thought we were paying for all day) and came back to find a $70 ticket on our windshield. This was our fault but, as we did ask for parking recommendations prior to the tour, and as we were visitors to the area, it would have been nice to been given better tips about where and where not to park.

Thank you for a great review of Shannon and telling others about your experience! We are sorry to hear you received a parking ticket. Normally you are advised to park across the Street at the 5th Ave parking garage as that is the only location that will offer more than 10 hour parking there may be a possibility of reducing your ticket. Please give us a call if you would like further information.
