My friend and I booked for Dec. 14, 2019. We had ample email notices about pickup arrangements for tour and got picked up at our hotel and then proceeded on drive to Mt. Rainier. There were ample stops for bathroom breaks/coffee/tea/purchase food at grocery. Joe our tour guide provided running commentary all along the route which was made especially charming peppered with humor and history. Going up mountain, Joe carefully drove as it was snowing lightly to moderately. The snow going up made the trip all the more magical. We made lots of photo ops stops at scenic viewpoints and waterfalls. We were provided with gloves, gaiters, shoe traction device for walking on ice/snow and some even with socks and boots. He even had jackets/pants if needed. We did a short walk to a waterfall. I think nobody else had walked on trail since Joe had to break trail on the downhill path. Then we had lunch at the Visitor center which had a cafe open for those without food (cider and soup were on menu). We brought our own food. The center had a display about Mt. Rainier which was informative. Then it was time to head back. Joe surprised us with cupcakes, headband and necklace with flashing Christmas lights. These along with Christmas carols and Joe singing made for a very festive drive back. This was a wonderful trip with extra bonus of falling snow and trip made more special with our very enthusiastic guide, Joe (with all extras of outdoor gear, cupcakes, Christmas lights). Thanks to Joe and Customized Tour! I plan to do tour again perhaps in spring or summer.

We did the all day Mt. Rainier tour and Lucas was our tour guide. He was absolutely amazing and took care of his group. He even spent his own money to buy the group snacks. There were heavy clouds and we didnt think we would be able to see the mountain, but Lucas was dedicated to show us all the cool spots. If you ever get w chance to do this tour, I HIGHLY recommend Lucas as the tour guide.

I went to mountain Rainier with customized tours on 15th December, it’s the rainy and snowy season, before booked with customized tours, I have searched online but not many tour companies does that because of the season. We had a group of 13 ppl that day, our tour guide was Lucas. He was very nice friendly and humorous, he arrived at my hotel 10 minutes earlier and sent me a text message before hand. He likes to chat with us and introduced the specialities of Seattle. He’s a really good tour guide because he not only does the tour well but also being a friend with everybody. He was really thinking for us and stopped at a supermarket for us to shop for food. He stopped at several locations on the way to the mountain Rainier to let us see the sceneries and take the photos. The day we went was snowy, he had a lot of experience that he put a chain under the wheel and the bus lock was also frozen and we couldn’t get the bus door open. He used a spray to make it work. I has a really good time that day and mountain Rainier is really really beautiful. I was not only impressed by the scenery but also by the professionalism of customized tours. I would recommend to my family and friends.
