Got to spend an hour with a small group on horses riding through the hills near LA on Christmas Day with my 13 year old son. Aaron, our guide, was great! LA rules are that horses canāt run or gallop so just walking. They teach you how to command the horse but even if you canāt the horses pretty much know what to do. Can be a bit scary since the horses walk near edges of steep drops. Great views of the hills, downtown LA & the Hollywood sign. They expect tips of $15-25 per rider for the 1 hr tour. Must wear helmets, sign waivers & leave bags at the ranch. Weather was great but I hear it gets very hot in summer.
