Overview

The Mural Ride will take you on a guided bicycle street art tour. The ride has over 20 mural stops where the guides will explain the history behind the mural art. There are many artist through-out San Antonio that make their living by making this town as colorful as it can be and our guides will tell you all about them. The guides are local cyclist who have a passion for their city, the arts, graffiti, street art, murals, food and of course, cycling.

Murals at Midtown

Murals commissioned by the San Antonio Street Art Initiative. This is only PHASE 1 of the murals and we will see a few from Phase 2 and 3.

I consider San Antonio my second home, but spend most of my time with family when I visit, and occasional visits during Fiesta, so this was a special treat. My cousin brought his own bike and we rented some easy to ride beach cruisers. We got to see sights that you would normally miss and get a flare for Texas artists. We love seeing murals in cities and you could sense a different style from the San Antonio and state artists. The guide, Brian, told stories and told us about the artist. We would have loved to keep going but got a late start and had to end early for a family dinner. I highly recommend this ride for out-of-towners and locals. We plan on doing it again!

Very relaxed evening bike ride to see interesting murals around town. The guide was very attentive to everyone and explained things clearly. He had a fantastic microphone system so his voice was easily heard by all of us. Great way to see an easily overworked part of San Antonio.

Had an awesome time riding around San Antonio and learning about the street art!! Brian was such a super guide, telling us stories of the city and its history and getting to know us personally. He also reached out to change our tour time to avoid the 100+ degree temps for a more enjoyable ride. Such a cool experience and a wonderful way to end our trip to an amazing place!!
