Mush Your Own Sled Dog Team (Summer/Fall Tour)

Overview

This is the only place in Alaska where you can mush your own team of dogs in the summer!

This is not a just a tour kennel; it is the training grounds and homestead of 4-time Iditarod champion, Dallas Seavey. All the dogs are either retired racing dogs (many have won the Iditarod), are currently on the race team, or are the next generation in training to become the next great champions! Our dogs are active and training year-round. As a guest musher here, you become part of Dallas Seavey Racing's year-round training program.

The group size for this experience is usually 6 or less people, with a guide assigned to each group, creating a very personal experience.

All of our dogs are extremely friendly, and love attention. Cuddle puppies, romp with young dogs, or walk with champions.

I would highly recommend this experience to everyone! We had 4 adults and a 3 year old. Everyone had fun mushing the dogs, playing with the puppies, and learning about the Iditarod experience. The staff were all super friendly and knowledgeable! :)

We had a blast! There were 8 in our party, all family and friends. 5 were over or near 70 in age. Don’t let that stop you! We were well taken care of and enjoyed all we learned and saw. This experience was a highlight of our Alaska trip!
